Brewing guide
Tulsi tea is best brewed for 8-10 mins. A longer infusion releases fuller flavour and herbal benefits, but can become bitter. Try pouring a dash of cold water over the herbs before adding boiling water. This will ‘wake’ the herbs and they won’t be burnt by the hot water. Make sure the water is just below boiling point (about 90°C) to maintain the maximum benefit of the herbs. We recommend 1 teaspoon of herbs per serve (250ml).
Best sipped daily! I brew a litre teapot in the morning and carry a bottle of this tea with me to sip throughout the day.
